Hi, I’m Dr. Syed—thank you so much for being here.
I’m a board-certified family medicine physician turned functional medicine coach, and I help women who feel “off” but keep being told their labs are normal. My approach is rooted in science, but it’s also deeply personal.
During my third pregnancy, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes—and even as a doctor, I was surprised by how little guidance I received. Just a vague “watch your diet,” and that was it. It made me realize how many women are left to figure this out on their own. I knew there had to be a better way.
Now I help women get to the root of insulin resistance so they can finally feel clear, energized, and confident in their bodies again.
When I’m not working with clients, you can find me chasing my three kids, sipping a perfectly brewed cup of coffee or matcha, and diving into my favorite podcasts—on everything from metabolic health to parenting and functional medicine. I truly believe your body makes sense—you just need the right tools to understand it.

It All Started When
I began noticing how often women in my clinic were brushed off. They came in exhausted, inflammed, struggling with cravings or stubborn weight, telling me "I just don't feel like myself." And yet time after time, their labs came back “normal,” and they were told everything was fine. I saw myself in them—because I’d felt that way, too.
I was always drawn to understanding how the body really works. In med school, we studied the human body in incredible detail, but once I entered the real world of clinical medicine, things got distilled down to symptom–diagnosis–prescription. Deep healing? It was never part of the conversation. And as a woman and mother, that started to feel deeply wrong.
But Then Everything Changed...
My third pregnancy was the turning point.
I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and the advice I got from my doctors? “You don’t need insulin, so just work on diet and exercise.” That was it. No plan. No explanation. Just vague suggestions and a pat on the back.
But I knew better. By that time, I was already knee-deep in functional medicine training—and I knew how complex blood sugar regulation really is. I knew that a few food swaps and walking after meals weren’t enough for most women to truly heal. And it hit me: If I was feeling this confused and unsupported as a physician, how many other women were out there silently struggling, trying to piece it together on their own?
That was my low point—and my catalyst. I realized that if I wanted to practice medicine the way women actually need it, I’d have to do it differently. So I did.

 Now I'm able To
Â
Now, I help women who feel dismissed, ignored, or told “everything’s fine” when they clearly don’t feel fine. I help them uncover the hidden drivers behind their symptoms—especially insulin resistance—and guide them toward real, lasting healing.
Because of my own journey, I understand the overwhelm. I know what it’s like to feel like your body is broken, to second-guess every symptom, and to feel like no one is truly listening. That’s why I created a space that blends science, root-cause medicine, and personalized support—so women don’t have to figure this out alone.
If you’ve been struggling with fatigue, cravings, brain fog, breakouts, stubborn weight, or irregular cycles—and you know something deeper is going on—I’m here to help you finally feel seen, understood, and empowered to heal from within.
